Palisades Rec has great athletic programs. They offer a variety of different sports and recreation classes. Sports for the spring include t-ball for 5-6 year olds. 5 pitch for 7-8 year olds. Roller hockey and girls basketball.

Palisades Cares Annual Food Drive: Help the Community and Volunteer with Palisades Cares

Palisades Cares volunteers will collect non-perishable food from shoppers at Ralph’s, Gelson’s and Von’s on Monday, January 16, 2011. Additional locations may be added. The food items will be given to the Westside Food Bank for distribution.
Baseball Tryouts are Back in the Palisades: Pacific Palisades Baseball Assocation Starts Up the Season
by Lainie Citron on January 5, 2012It’s that time of year again – PPBA is getting underway. Baseball tryouts are this Saturday, January 7th and next Saturday the 14th for the Pacific Palisades Baseball Association.
All new and returning players are required to try out. During tryouts players will be asked to field balls at short stop and throw to first base, catch pop flies and bat against a pitching machine. Due to field limitations not everyone who tries out will be placed on a team.

Each day starts off with Coach Howland speaking to the kids. Then, they work on “skill development”-defensive play, rebounding, ball handling, passing and shooting, and offense. Before lunch, they have their competitions: 3 on 3, Hot shot, 1 on 1 and free throws.
