Palisades Cares Annual Food Drive: Help the Community and Volunteer with Palisades Cares

Palisadians have the opportunity to help those less fortunate Monday, January 16 with the annual food drive sponsored by Palisades Cares.

Palisades Cares volunteers will collect non-perishable food from shoppers at Ralph’s, Gelson’s and Von’s on Monday, January 16, 2011. Additional locations may be added. The food items will be given to the Westside Food Bank for distribution.

Baseball Tryouts are Back in the Palisades: Pacific Palisades Baseball Assocation Starts Up the Season

It’s that time of year again – PPBA is getting underway. Baseball tryouts are this Saturday, January 7th and next Saturday the 14th for the Pacific Palisades Baseball Association.

All new and returning players are required to try out. During tryouts players will be asked to field balls at short stop and throw to first base, catch pop flies and bat against a pitching machine. Due to field limitations not everyone who tries out will be placed on a team.
